ARMA International is now accepting applications for the 2010 ARMA International Cobalt Award.This award recognizes organizations that have gone the distance to achieve excellence in managing their records and information enterprise-wide.

In today's business environment records and information management (RIM) is crucial for business function and keeps organizations competitive and compliant. The world is filled with changing laws and regulations and threats to data security and privacy, thus creating risk within all organizations. The Cobalt Award celebrates organizations that have embraced this reality as part of their everyday business.

In 2010 ARMA International is looking for the next RIM program that desires to prove to themselves, their clients and the world that they are excellent. The prestigious award is given to only those organizations that meet the highest standards of records and information management criteria identified by a group of experts. Their applications are assessed by a panel of judges who are experienced in the various aspects of information management.

In the award's first two years ARMA International has been proud to recognize two outstanding records and information management programs within New York Life Insurance Company and Prudential Financial. This year's winner will be presented with the award at the 2010 ARMA International Conference & Expo in San Francisco November 7, 2010. Organizations that are up for the challenge are encouraged to learn more about the award and apply at www.arma.org/excellence today. Applications are being accepted through April 15, 2010.
