Kodak Supports RISO ComColor® as an Offline Reprint Solution for the KODAK VERSARMARK VL-Series Printing Systems

RISO, Inc. announced that it has expanded its relationship with Kodak to offer customers the RISO ComColor full-color cut-sheet inkjet printer as a complementary solution for its highperformance inkjet printing systems for data-driven printing jobs. Support is now available for the full line of KODAK VERSARMARK VL-Series Printing Systems, in addition to earlier solutions for the KODAK VERSAMARK VT3000 and VX5000 Plus Printing Systems.

This announcement builds on RISO's long standing relationship with Kodak and affirms the satisfaction of existing Kodak customers with the reliability, speed, and duty cycle of RISO cut-sheet inkjet systems.

RISO's ComColor high-speed inkjet printer leverages workflow channels from several leading production output management solutions to provide real time reprints at full color speeds up to 150 ppm. With image processing and color management software from Kodak and the high-speed sheet-fed capability of ComColor, this solution is ideal for reprints and proofing of document layout changes required for high-speed production environments.

ComColor's full-color inkjet technology platform enables customers to replicate the look, feel, and quality of the process color output from the KODAK VERSAMARK VL-Series Printing Systems. ComColor's unique production-class inkjet system produces documents with a very similar lookand- feel, and prints on the same substrates as the Kodak production printers, delivering 100 percent of a customer's printed product with consistent quality throughout the print run.

"As the pioneer in high-speed full-color cut-sheet inkjet digital printing systems, RISO is committed to providing affordable, high-volume digital printing solutions for the transaction print, direct mail, and commercial print marketplace," said Dennis Burger, associate vice president, Major Accounts, RISO, Inc.

At speeds up to 150 pages per minute (A4, landscape), ComColor® inkjet printers produce full-color and monochrome documents with a realistic duty cycle of 500K impressions per month. Employing the latest in RISO's FORCEJET® printing technology and robust production-class Piezo drop-ondemand inkjet technology, the five ComColor models appeal to a broad range of customer print volumes, applications, and budgets.

"RISO has proven their ability to meet the demanding requirements of Kodak's high volume production customers," said Ronen Cohen, Vice President, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak. Kodak's customers rely on 100% output delivery when printing direct mail, TransPromo statements, bills, invoices, and more — jobs that routinely run into the millions of impressions per month. Damage can occur at many stages in a production and mailing process and must be detected and repaired. Customers using Kodak V-Series Printing Systems can experience the same level of quality for very small reprint jobs without impacting productivity on the high speed device.

The Kodak V-Series Printing Systems are designed to meet the needs of customers to produce high volume output quickly, accurately, and cost effectively. Based on a flexible, rock-solid printing platform, the KODAK VERSAMARK V-Series Printing Systems offer model configurations to handle virtually any variable data printing application including transactional documents, direct mail and other commercial applications. Printing full color with rated print speeds ranging from 246 fpm (75 mpm) to 750 fpm (228 mpm), these systems have the ability to print up to 3,272 ipm US letter portrait (images per minutes) and 3,080 A4 ipm.
